Somber Stuff...

All of our thoughts and hopes go out to the people in the affected areas of the country due to the Hurricane. In the same respect, horrid slow death to those who blame this disaster on gays, anyone else, or the activities that went on in that city.

The building management up here is also holding a drive to collect goods for refugees.

My family has taken in a New Orleanian as well who could use clothes, money for clothes and toiletries, food for her dog and cats, a job, etc.

And I believe I want to try and donate my car to a family who needs to find work from LA so that they could get back on their feet. Though I am not entirely sure of how to do that, but I want to.

My church is trying to 'adopt' a family from LA and help them get back on their feet - would you be willing to donate to them, or let them borrow your car? I don't know that there are any charities accepting donated cars for hurricane relief, but I could be wrong.

What do you think? If it's something you might want to do, let me know and I can tell our pastor.

James, about what size is your mom's friend? About my size, bigger, smaller? I've been puting together some old clothes to bring up to work for the relief help that we are doing here, but if it's stuff that she could use, I'd be more than happy to give it to her.

I will think on your idea Megan, I am still not sure of the logistics of the whole thing and the paperwork and all that.
